POINTS DETAILS
The Points are made from Austempered Ductile Iron. A state of the art tough
cast iron that has 11% elongation (will bend 11%).The Tungsten components
are solid and there are two different types Heavy Duty and Standard with a
range of five points.
HEAVY DUTY
This relates to the mass of solid tungsten on the working tip of the point. The
codes for these are:
K H D L - Knock on heavy duty long,
K H D S - Knock on heavy duty short,
K H D W - Knock on heavy duty wing.
At the working tip of the point there is more than 2 ½ times the mass of
Tungsten in the heavy duty than the standard. Tungsten face is 15mm wide
x 20mm deep.
STANDARD POINTS
10mm wide Tungsten 30mm deep.
T M K S - Tungsten Mitchtip Knock on Short
T M K W - Tungsten Mitchtip Knock on Wing.
On both types the Winged Points have 50mm Tungsten tile across the
trailing edge with 30mm Tungsten tile set in just ahead.
